Melany Ghelman is a Licensed School Psychologist. Melany completed her Psychology degree in Caracas, Venezuela where she grew up. She then moved to Houston, Texas where she pursued her graduate studies and completed her specialist degree in school psychology. Melany is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist as well as a Certified Autism Specialist. Melany has extensive experience in developmental evaluations as well as the diagnosis of children suspected of having spectrum disorders (ASD).

During her time in Houston, Melany worked for 9 years as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) for Spring Branch Independent School District. As an LSSP, Melany conducted comprehensive assessments for children aged 2-5 as part of a multidisciplinary team. She consulted with parents and teachers concerning the educational needs of children and interpretation of their assessment results; Melany worked closely with educational teams to develop and implement behavioral interventions. In addition, Melany supported the district’s programs for children with Autism.

Upon her relocation to Florida (2021), Melany joined the Pre-K Diagnostic Team at Miami Dade Public Schools where she conducted developmental and psychoeducational assessments for children aged 3-5.

Melany recently joined the Child Provider Specialists team to work with preschool-aged children and their families.
