Dr. Lara Rifai is a dedicated clinical psychology post-doctoral resident at Child Provider Specialists. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in 2019, where her passion for psychology and working with children first developed. Dr. Rifai went on to earn her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in 2024, specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology. With a focus on children with ADHD, specific learning disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and anxiety, she brings a wealth of experience to her practice.
During her time at NSU, Dr. Rifai completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship here at CPS, where she honed her skills in providing diagnostic clarity, recommendations, and tailored plans for success for children and families. Her clinical expertise extends to therapy and conducting comprehensive school neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents.
In her current role as a post-doctoral resident, Dr. Rifai conducts neuropsychological evaluations, meets with parents to develop tailed plans and recommendations, and actively participates in school reviews to discuss evaluation results and how to support the individual needs of the student. With a varied professional background spanning academic, hospital, and private practice environments, she is dedicated to assisting clients throughout South Florida as she progresses in her career.
