Dr. Desir graduated from the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Master’s in Mental Health counseling. In an effort to further her ability to meaningfully contribute to others’ well-being, she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her post-Doctorate training while alternating between Nova Southeastern University’s University school and School-Related Psychological Assessments and Clinical Assessments (SPACI). During her time at University school, she provided therapy to students experiencing a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression and Autism Spectrum disorder. While in SPACI, she conducted psychological assessments for children and teens. She is most at home when she is reading, traveling, or practicing self-care. It is her hope that with each clinical interaction, that she can help those from all walks of life find and use the tools, mindset, and courage to better define what “home” means based on their own unique definitions.
